Gold on Carbon resolution standards (SGC range) have varying sized gaps between gold crystals. These gold islands are imaged against a carbon substrate that allow resolution tests to be made under actual SEM operating conditions. An outline of a square mesh grid is provided on the surface of the standard to facilitate preliminary focusing and positioning at low magnifications (<150X). This resolution standard can also can be used to assess the quality of grey-level reproduction at high resolution.
SGC standards are available in four size ranges mounted on a stub of your choice. Please contact us if you have special requirements not listed below.
